This SunCoast upgraded Allison torque converter comes standard with a fully machined forged apply piston to alleviate deflection under higher apply pressure. This helps ensure that the torque converter performs consistently for the life of the vehicle. The friction material also is upgraded for greater thermal capacity for improved performance when towing under heavy loads. This converter, while great for heavy duty towing and hauling, is not intended for racing.
