CR2 Crankshaft Pin Kit, 2001-2019 LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM/LML/L5P
Fits: 2001 thru 2019 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM/LML/L5P Duramax Diesels
This pin kit is designed to address the common issue of sheared alignment pins in harmonic balancers when running at high RPM. The kit allows for the drilling and re-pinning of the balancer without removing the crankshaft from the engine, eliminating the need for machining a new key. The process can be completed with the engine still in the truck, requiring only the removal of the radiator and intercooler. The broken pin can be removed and the balancer can be installed back to its original position, 180 degrees from the factory pin location. Follow the drill jig to drill a hole 3/4" to 1" deep and then secure the rebalanced balancer with a hardened roll pin and the original crankshaft bolt tightened to factory torque specifications.
